June 21 marks the first day of summer. This means, of course, the weather becomes unpredictable and is constantly changing. From 90 degrees and humid to showers and thunderstorms, summer is a season of unexpected forecasts.
At Clean Response, we want everyone to enjoy their summer, instead of having to worry about home damages resulting from the weather. Here are a list of easy do-it-yourself tips to avoid home water damages.
- Squeegee your shower to avoid build up in moisture and mildew
- Clean your gutters
- Check to make sure your sump pump is working, especially before a heavy rain or storm
- When leaving for the weekend or vacation, remember to shut your water off to avoid leaks
- Keep basement items off the ground and on shelves
If, unfortunately, your house does suffer from rain or water damage, always remember to call Clean Response. Click here for more information on Clean Response’s water cleanup.
Happy summer!
